In the aftermath of the aborted attack on Hassan, CTU discovers that the killer is contaminated with U-235, which shows his connection to the Russian mobs. Only one person has the experience and connections to go undercover: Renee Walker.

24 - Day 8: 6:00P.M. - 7:00P.M.

Jack tracks down the man who framed Meredith Reed, but runs afoul of two policemen who mistake him for a murderer. Meanwhile, Hastings continues his interrogation of Meredith and Chloe tries to convince him to help find the missing Jack.

24 - Day 8: 5:00P.M. - 6:00P.M.

While the real mole remains free to threaten Hassan, reporter Meredith Reed is framed and arrested by CTU. Chloe believes in her innocence, and appeals to Jack to help her find the real mole. Meanwhile, CTU analyst Dana Walsh receives a call from a man from her past that threatens her future.

24 - Day 8: 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM

A man, Victor Aruz (Benito Martinez), returns home to find that he is being targeted for assassination by a Russian operative named Davros (Doug Hutchison). He seeks help from Jack Bauer, interrupting Jack's decision to fly back to L.A. to live out a quiet life with Kim, her husband Stephen and daughter Teri. Aruz claims that President Hassan of the Islamic Republic, who is currently at the UN building working on a treaty with President Taylor, is going to be assassinated soon; he and his confederates helped smuggle the assassin into the country and are now being killed off by this same assassin. Jack agrees to help and receives support from CTU director Brian Hastings and Field Ops director Cole Ortiz, Aruz demands immunity from prosecution in exchange for his information and is granted that when suddenly Davros launches an RPG at Aruz and the CTU agents successfully killing Aruz. Before his death Aruz tells Jack that the assassin has a mole close to Hassan, but can reveal nothing more before he dies. This mole is implied to be reporter Meredith Reed, who is having an affair with Hassan and causing tension between him and his brother / chief of staff, Farhad (Akbar Kurtha).

24 Season 8 TV Series Information

24 Season 8 TV series or also known as "Day 8" TV Series stars Kiefer Sutherland.

The story arc involves Jack Bauer contending with assassination threats made during a peace conference between President of the United States Allison Taylor and President Omar Hassan of the fictional Islamic Republic of Kamistan similar to Iran.

The series is set in New York with the re-activation of CTU's New York Office,[4] but while there were originally no plans for filming in New York due to budget constraints,[5] some scenes were shot on-location.

The plotline begins and ends at 4:00 P.M.

It has been revealed that Gregory Itzin will reprise his role as former President Charles Logan near the end of the season.

The new season premiered last January 17, 2010.
